I'm up here! This is from when we were in Death Valley and I decided to take a "quick" half mile hike. It was only about 120 degrees out that day. A real dry heat too so no problem right? You can see the oval shaped parking lot below and the one road that traverses this part of the park as it stretches out to "Badwater", the lowest point in the North America, which is 282 feet below sea level. If you ever feel like trying something like that, bring as much water as you can carry. Bring gloves too, the rocks are so hot that they can hurt to touch.
