The first of many I will probably post. This is from one of my favorite parks. This park is called Chaco Culture which is a National Historic Park in New Mexico. This particular shot comes from Pueblo Bonito, one of the many partially excavated ruins from the Chacoan people built about 1000 years ago. Read more about them here: http://www.nps.gov/chcu/

To illustrate the size of The Sentinal(Big tree on the left) in Sequoia National Park here is a shot of the Giant Forest Museum with it. I'll have to find one with a car or people, that would help you get the idea even better but keep in mind, this is a pretty big building.

This large grove of Sequoia are called The Senate in Sequoia National Park. They certainly have a towering presence and you get the idea of what an Ent would be like if that part of The Lord of the Rings came to life. I felt very small.

Hiking some dunes in Death Valley. It was a mere 116 degrees or so when I was out for this hike. I made a smart move of carrying an umbrella for some shade but felt a little like I was auditioning as the Morton Salt Boy.

Early morning at the Bonneville Salt Flats. I could barely get my eyes open taking this shot since I stayed up late walking around the flats star gazing for a while.

We just got back from another great road trip. I'll start posting some shots as I have time and energy! Here's a rock spire in Arches National Park.
